Quick Car Freshener Tutorial

car freshener-lavenderToday I saw a muslin type pouch hanging in this vehicle and thought, wait I can make something like that!! Once in my sewing room, I quickly cut out a rectangle piece of fabric (4.5″ by 9″, a strip of ribbon (17″), and a strip of butterfly trim (8″). I folded the piece of fabric in half and serged using a 1/4 inch seam. I pulled it inside out and pressed. Next step was folding over the edges and pressing down. I put in a couple scoops of dried lavender and went to my sewing machine to attach the trim and ribbon. I started sewing the trim in the middle of the top edge, but stopped at each end to sew the ribbon in place securely. top trim

Looks like a doll purse, but it is a perfect accent to my car and smells soooo good!lavender car freshener trim
